Nothing embraces the heart of Arturo Sandoval and ASI more than our work on behalf of College Track students. In a short time, we’ve developed a program in Watts that has enriched their understanding and appreciation of music and the music industry. With dynamic partners, ASI has created opportunities for College Track Watts students to participate in:
- A weekly guitar class with YMF including individual guitars to take home and practice
- Continuity through Summer with online and monthly in-person guitar lessons
- Master Classes of musicianship with Arturo Sandoval at The Wallis and “Musical Theatre Vocal Bootcamp”with Julie Garnye.
ASI’s College Track partnership has been so successful in our first year that we’ve committed to further growing musical opportunities for the 2018-2019 school year in Watts and expanding into College Track Boyle Heights and inspiring additional students.
We’re always looking for ways to expand our Partnership Program and the musical influences of these great young people. Whether you’re in the Los Angeles area or outside, you’re essential to the success of these hardworking students.
