ASI is honored to be included in the beautiful, 36th Anniversary digital issue of Selecta Magazine.
The article, entitled “Los Talentos del Futuro” and featuring photos by Marilee Frazier, highlights ASI’s mission as well as a recent event that was held at Arturo’s home in celebration of ASI and our achievements as an organization. In front of the picturesque views of San Fernando valley, the house of the renowned Grammy Award winning trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, served as a backdrop for a celebration in honor of Arturo Sandoval Institute (or ASI). The jazz music icon founded the organization in 2012, which is designed to help the musicians of the new generation reach their artistic dreams, getting more beyond their limited economic circumstances, giving them opportunities that allow them to follow their passions and interests.
The guests celebrated the achievements of the organization and delighted in special presentations by Sandoval and his band, as well as young music students who enjoy ASI’s support. During the festivities, the Institute announced a newly created prize in honor of its relentless champions, Frank and Fay Mancuso. The “The Friends of ASI” award is given to those whose leadership, acts or support have significantly boosted the commitment of the organization to open doors to access to education musical.
